When Harper was born one of the many things I looked forward to was the day when she would want to play dress up. And before I knew it… that day was here. Harper absolutely loves to get All Dressed Up and I absolutely love watching her do it. One day she’s a princess, the next she’s a doctor. She has the freedom to pretend to be anything she wants to be. I truly believe that playing dress up can have a positive, creative and simply fun effect on your psyche. (I know when I put on a pair of fun shoes it changes my mood). And if I let it, it can even transform how I act and feel. That being said, I can also see the same transformation when Harper puts on a costume. Being an actress I rely on dressing up a great deal, it helps me connect with a character. And being a Mom playing dress up is just another way I connect with my daughter.
Let’s face it… what girl doesn’t want to be a princess?
